FOUR PILLARS DINNER: NEGRONI WEEK EDITION
Gin – dinners, festivals, tastings, masterclasses, yoga, blending sessions – I think we’ve heard it all. The ‘ginnaissance’ is till going strong worldwide and the resurgence shows no signs of slowing down. Gin dinners particularly are my favourite and Aussie gin giants Four Pillars are no strangers to invading your dinner time with perfectly matched cocktails. For the recent Negroni Week that just passed us (June 24th to 30th), Four Pillars released some very cool gin things including a Negroni soaked coffee scrub and 4 bespoke ready-to-drink variations of the star cocktail to celebrate its 100th year anniversary. They joined forces with Tiny’s once again to put on an epic 3 course Gin Dinner as par of their nationwide #N100 campaign.
To start we were given the option of a classic Four Pillars G&T or one of two of their new Negroni variations. Negronis are an apéritivo – it was designed to be consumed before a meal where the flavour profile & botanicals help stimulate your appetite. Naturally, we went for one of each of the new variations – the Woodland & Metropolitan. With brilliant chef Josh Gray at the helms of the kitchen and James Pennefather behind the bar you can be guaranteed a good time. From their signature rotisserie style chicken to a Hot Bloody Shiraz cocktail to finish, it was an explosion of flavours. This was also my first hot Shiraz Gin cocktail – perfect for those chilly winter nights.
See the HUJI image series below for the 3 course dinner recap.
It was an indulgent evening with a myriad of flavours explored. Thank you for the good times, Four Pillars, Tiny’s & team. For upcoming gin dinners or masterclasses by Four Pillars, click here for more information. Voyager Estate (WA) has something exciting in-store coming this August!
