Now that we have established Martini Monday as a weekly episode (at least in my household), let’s recap what we learnt at our Martini Masterclass held at The Flour Factory.
These simple steps will lead you to your perfect* dry martini:
Step 1: Chill martini glass in freezer or with lots of ice prior
Step 2: Fill mixing glass with ice, 60 ml of Aviation Gin and 15 ml of Oscar Vermouth Bianco Vermouth.
Step 3: Stir for approximately 90 seconds and strain into chill namesake glass
Step 4: Twist fresh lemon peel, garnish & drink responsibly!
Before I leave you, the age old advice of never stop experimenting holds very true here. Play with different gins and vermouths to see what works best for you and your budget.
Alternatively, head to your favourite bar and get a bartender to mix one up for you. I learnt most of what I know from some of the finest booze purveyors!
